In a rapid change of Office 365, Microsoft sends to Tenant Admin’s the news about what is changing and what is coming in Office 365.

This is the 439th email that Microsoft has sent to Tenant Admin’s Newsletter with Office 365 changes.

Microsoft 365 Message center announced major updates for late October to early November 2025, including Microsoft Teams enabling chat with any email address (rolling out November 2025), new file and URL protections, and collaborative notes in group chats.

Microsoft Purview DLP will support Microsoft 365 Copilot to prevent sensitive data leakage (preview November 2025, GA April 2026), and will enforce Entra conditional access for eDiscovery admins by November 2025.

Microsoft Teams Live Events retirement is postponed beyond September 2024, with Town Hall as the new event solution; organizations can transition at their convenience.

Teams will stop updates for Android 8 devices after December 2025; organizations should plan OS upgrades.

New features include Copilot Notebooks sharing, enhanced Copilot personalization, Power BI reporting on employee experience, and a floating Copilot button in OneDrive (rolling out through late 2025).

Teams will block unsafe file types (from November 3, 2025) and introduce malicious URL protection (September–November 2025); file attachment control in external chats is enabled by default (October 2025–January 2026).

GPT-5 will become the default Copilot model (phased rollout November 2025), and Copilot chat will add session persistence (November 5–30, 2025).

Teams Copilot will default to no transcription for meetings starting mid-January 2026; admins can adjust policies.

Power Platform and Copilot Studio receive new governance, security, and agent management features, with several updates reaching general availability in November and December 2025.

Dynamics 365 and Dataverse updates include increased storage entitlements (December 1, 2025), new analytics, large-scale event hosting, and enhanced email template management (November–December 2025).
